As robust and rugged as the frigid, windswept landscapes that inspired it, Nordic Diesel protects engines to -40º F.
Nordic Diesel is a specially formulated fuel designed to take on the toughest winters and allow your engine to run smoothly:
- Cold Filter Plug Point (CFPP) of -40° F
- Robust cold weather operability below cloud point of the fuel*
- 45 Typical Motor Cetane Number**
- Increased power output and engine efficiency
- Improved engine warm up – easier cold starts
- Reduces white smoke, exhaust odor and combustion knock
- Lower emissions through more efficient combustion
*NORDIC Diesel has a typical -40ºF Cold Filter Plug Point when tested with a certified ASTM test method. ASTM D 6371 defines CFPP as the highest temperature observed at which a fuel stops flowing through a standard 45 micron filter when cooled under the conditions defined in the test method during a specified time period. The recommended size of the filter can vary by manufacturer. If a fuel system is more restrictive than 45 microns, it could cause filter plugging at a temperature higher than -40ºF. Depending on the application, a fuel filtration system more restrictive than 45 microns may require a warm fuel return system or additional #1 diesel fuel blending.
**Cetane number is not a measurement of fuel economy or engine power. The above benefits are provided through improved combustion.
